The Body

I remember the time when i had to wear them. I remember well that i
did not like it. The Body for me was the Antichrist in the
garment-section, the ultimate evil, the replacement of the corset-
After teenage liberaton i forgot about them and burried the body deep
in my unconscious closet next to silver high-heel sneakers, my
superman t-shirt and darkgreen cord-carrotpants. Time passed. And
according to Hesse's theory that the human unconscious is a steady
moving mass of water washing things to the surface, the body floated
straight back to my mind. And i think it will soon find the way back
in your wardrobe. To wear single, yes, or just with a pair of nice
dark-green cord-carrotpants- (To get chez Wolford)

Helmut Lang

Since two years the label "Helmut Lang" sneaks its way back into
fashion. After the resignement of the austrian Artist and exceptional
Fashiondesigner Helmut Lang in 2005, the label could not keep its
strenght and disappeared from the market.
The style was defined by technical, essential classic and surrealistic
influences and marked with its clean and timeless modernism the late
80's and the early 90's. A big success as well in Jeanswear and
absolute refinement in Footwear; a Horsetail attached to a Sling-Pump
makes my Shoeheart beat faster-- Helmut Lang was the major influence
along with Jil Sander and other brands celebrating essentialism in a
very profound manner.

The spirit of the house now redefined by the american Fashiondesigners
Michael and Nicole Colovos, positionned in a more affordable
pricerange, the luxurious label keeps spreading a new subtile vibe of
minimalism, with irregular fabric combinations and a sporty cold
elegance. We should definately keep watching theyr next moves and
shortly; it's cool, we all should invest!

Karl Lagerfeld for Maison Michel

...and i just hang on to my last prognosis. For everyone; it is o.k
now to wear a second pair of ears. To make it less aqward you can use
the expression "hat". The last collection of the french Maison Michel
is a gathering of beautyful
vintage-inspired "Bibi's" and other very convincing head-juwellery
pieces. Black tulle, velvet, ENTIRE RABBITS and lace worn by seriously
cool people like Olivier Zahm, Sean Lennon and Lou Douillon.
The campaign shot in black and white by Karl Lagerfeld, the one and
only, is exhibited at Colette. C'est chic ça.
And guess now please which one i'm going wear. Too simple I know...
