I just came across this site. Foozie is an online marketplace where you can discover and buy food directly from small passionate food producers and growers.
"Our small piece of that mission is to help the small food producers across the country find customers and grow their business. We believe that instead of a small number of large food companies there should be a large number of small food companies. We’re a bit obsessed with good food and passionate about connecting those that like to eat it with the people that make it."
I like the philosophy and they have some really good looking products in their shop.

Die grösste Auswahl an Camper Schuhen in der Stadt Bern, gibt's im neu eröffneten Camper Shop.

Im Aarbergerhof.
Aarbergergasse 40
3011 Bern
it happens from time to time that i'm in the mood of buying delicious fish and see an interesting exibition- SAMETIME.
the only place to satisfy this desire is not just any poissonnerie, no, it's the best poissonnerie in france voted by the gault &millau 2008, situated ( what a luck! ) just in my neighbourhood, one of the most amazing corners in paris, the rue oberkampf.
the owner is very proud to sell you the best fish in paris and to present monthly changing exibitions of artists situated in the neighbourhood of the 11th arrondissement. this month:
the cats of his costumers ( are looking down on the fresh fish).
opening hours: everyday from 9-1 and from 4-8
sunday wholeday and monday afternoon closed.
bon appetit..

Moss I guess is THE New York concept store. It's a strange shop though. In the beginning I did not like it too much. It's just too stylish. A huge room, everything in white, one huge table in the middle of the room and from the celling hang just a few glass display boxes. Don't touch and don't take pictures everywhere.
But while lingering through the 4 rooms (7000 square feet) I started to really like this shop. It's all in the selection of the products.
"Furniture, especially from Italian manufacturers, lighting, watches and jewelry, books, and a significantly increased focus on tabletop. Today, Moss offers one of the world's most sophisticated selections of porcelain tableware, crystal and cutlery, contextualized in presentation by association with furniture and lighting from some of the greatest designers of the 20th century.
The furniture and objects offered at the shop deliberately blur the distinctions between production and craft, between industry and art, and more recently, between industrial and decorative arts. One may find, for instance, a Hella Jongerius embroidered ceramic pot next to a stainless steel Fisher space pen next to an Edra pink leather Flap sofa. The intention is to force a view of each piece based on the context of its presentation, rather than its function or material."
The prcelain and ceramics selection is really outstanding but they also had a huge selection of Maharam textiles which a have seen nowhere else before and a selection of beautiful kitchen products.
I recommend Moss to everybody who likes to get inspired. The products unfortunately are way above a normal budget.

Some Moss products to give you an idea what to expect:

The japanese chain Uniqlo opened a 3,300 m2 shop on Broadway New York this year.
I do really like their philosophy "Clothing says a lot, but you can say it better. UNIQLO designs, manufactures, markets and sells casual wear that can be worn by anyone, any day. Rather than dictate a look, UNIQLO provides people everywhere with the piece they need to create their own style. And style comes from within, which is why the UNIQLO logo is nearly invisible, tucked away inside the garment."
But when I actually stood in the shop I did not find one single pice I liked. I could not say why, maybe the shop is just to big, you don't know where to start looking and then I wasn't really appealed by the color selection.

Urban Outfitters in New York is not my type of shop. Very american fashion with to many colors and patterns for my taste.
But what you see all over the world is the Minetonkas :-)
Watch out we will have them is stock too.

An other nice shop is "Honey in the Rough" on Rivington in Lower east side.
Owner and makeup artist Ashley Hanosh's boutique is dedicated to cute dresses with bohemian appeal. Exposed brick and dark wooden details provide a warm atmosphere for perusing racks of fabulous frocks from all over the globe, plus pieces from local designers like Samantha Pleet and Mociun.
Lot's of colors and silk, don't expect to find any bargains there though.

If I was I men I would shop here.

Established in April 2006, BBlessing is a boutique dedicated to redefining the retail experience as it pertains to modern life. BBlessing features a unique, tightly edited selection of bleeding edge men's fashion, art, music, literature and film, all in a constantly evolving environment designed by Daniel Jackson, founding member of the renowned art collective Surface To Air.
Inspiration for the BBlessing design environment was born of a turn-of-the-century Parisian absinthe bar, transported to the Pacific Northwest by way of the Lower East Side. BBlessing aims to impart a sense of luxury, but with wit, in a whimsical and engaging fashion. The boutique features an array of both young and established menswear designers from New York, Japan and Europe including Raf Simons, Preen, Rag & Bone, Adam Kimmel, Giacometti, Patrik Ervell and Surface To Air as well as its signature BBlessing collection. In addition, BBlessing offers a tightly curated selection of film, music, literature and objets d'art.

Cornelia is a Swedish label created and run by designer Cornelia Webb. This former medical student launched her first full jewelry collection in 2005. Cornelia created jewelry to bring some dynamics and creativity to her spare time! Soon the personal seductive jewelry with a humorous edge created a buzz and caught the eye of style icon Nina Person "the cardigans". After showing up at MTV awards wearing Cornelia the brand was of to a flying start. As the clientele has grown, so has the need for production capacity. True to the handicraft and uniqueness of every piece Cornelia now employs inmates to realise her design. This is both a step in motivating people through creating beautiful things with their hand and a way to keep production close and limited. Cornelia beliefs there are no rules mixing gold with silver, adding red copper to yellow brass like a lawless. With a rare feeling for balance the designer combines contrasts creating timeless and unique pieces with grace and humor.
